At large developer conferences like F8 and Oculus Connect, the currency is innovation. For these events, which were live-streamed to millions, my role was to partner directly with the brilliant minds behind Facebook’s next-generation technology, namely in AR/VR. The challenge was to take incredibly complex engineering and research concepts and translate them into compelling stories that would resonate with a global developer audience.
I worked one-on-one with engineers and developers to craft presentations that highlighted their product or feature in their own authentic voice. The goal was to build a narrative that felt genuine to them, not like a script handed down from marketing. Often, this meant my role extended beyond design into coaching. I provided guidance reassurance, helping them take the stage and share their groundbreaking work with the passion and confidence.
